Accountant

Doctoranytime is looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance team in Athens. You will own full-cycle accounting and reporting under both IFRS and Greek GAAP (ΕΛΠ), partnering with FP&A and Operations as we scale across Greece and Cyprus.

What you'll do

• Own the monthly, quarterly and year-end close — and keep it under five working days.
• Maintain the general ledger: journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
• Run AP/AR, bank reconciliations and intercompany transactions.
• Prepare and submit VAT (ΦΠΑ) returns and AADE myDATA e-books.
• Support payroll reconciliation and statutory filings.
• Prepare financial statements under IFRS and Greek GAAP (ΕΛΠ) and be the primary contact for external auditors.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• 4+ years of full-cycle accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Greek tax and VAT (ΦΠΑ) rules.
• Hands-on experience with an ERP such as SoftOne, Entersoft or SAP.
• Confident with IFRS and Greek GAAP (ΕΛΠ) reporting.
• Professional English, written and spoken.

Nice to have

• A Greek Α' Τάξης accounting license (ΟΕΕ).
• Experience in a high-growth tech or healthcare company.
• ACCA / ACA — qualified or in progress.
